Department of Vocational Education focused on Teaching Technology (BPT)

2021 – 2024: Advanced Modular Training and Further Education of South African TVET Lecturers in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; gefördert vom BMBF

TRAINME 2 is a joint project of the Inter-Company Training Center in Eastern Bavaria and the University of Stuttgart on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The team works in close collaboraton with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to strengthen a  sustainable basis for cooperative vocational education & training in South Africa and to contribute to the development of dual training models. The programme qualifies TVET lecturers to be competent to offer high quality lessons at tthe vocational Colleges to diverse learners. The particpants learn about latest digital technologies for teaching and learning in TVET to prepare their students for the 21st century world of work, society and culture. To increase the number of TVET lecturers that can participate in this training, a Master Trainer model is implemented, next to transferring the curriculum and contents to other institutions. The modules will be designed in a way that the contents can also be used for different occupational areas.
