The Institute of Educational Science (IfE) at the University of Stuttgart consists of four departments: Education, Vocational Education focused on Teaching Technology (BPT), Vocational, Economical and Technical Education (BWT), and Teaching and Learning with Intelligent Systems (LLiS). This is where all students come together who are aiming for the study goal of a teaching profession (grammar school or vocational teaching profession) or in vocational and technical education. The IfE is significantly involved in the cooperative Professional School of Education (PSE Stuttgart-Ludwigsburg).
