"Four Computational Models of Selective and Divided Attention"
In this talk, Chris Wickens describes his development of four computational models of selective and divided attention, emphasizing their grounding in theory, functioning, potential applications, and relationship. In the historical sequence of their development, the models are the multiple resource model (MRM) of multi-tasking, the SEEV model of selective attention supervision, the NSEEV model of selective attention noticing, and the STOM model sequential multitasking. Thus, the multiple resources and STOM models are multi-tasking models, SEEV and NSEEV are selective attention models, and STOM and SEEV are multi-attribute decision models.
